Therapeutic Consultation

THERAPEUTIC CONSULTATION

THE INFORMATION YOU NEED FOR RELAPSE PREVENTION

Two of the primary goals of addiction treatment are recovery and relapse prevention. At U.C.A.S.S., we believe in educating clients and their families about the impact of addiction on their lives. Our services include providing parties with a variety of addiction information that is useful for the recovery process to work.

THERAPEUTIC CONSULTATION

Therapeutic consultation addresses the disease and its diagnosis by providing information or data on a client's emotional, mental, and physical well-being. It provides more technical information on the mental health issue and how one would assist someone with a disease. This type of consultation can help a person recognize when someone might be relapsing.

Additionally, therapeutic consultation improves the client's awareness of his/her addiction. It helps an individual, and his/her family understands the importance of self-care, stress management, eating, and sleeping in the process of recovery. This type of therapy also helps you recognize signs of a relapse, including:

  • Hanging Out with the Same Friends
  • Dealing with Relationships and Choices
  • Going to the Same Places
  • Starting to Isolate Themselves
